The "X" rating system used for leaders and tippets are measurements of strength and describes the breaking strength and diameter of the fly fishing leader material. The smaller the number the thicker and stronger leader for bigger stronger fish. The larger the number the finer the leader is for the smaller fish, such as trout & panfish.

We are pleased to offer free shipping on all orders over $75 domestically within the US. Orders under $75 will be charged a flat shipping rate from USPS, which usually works out to be half price of the true shipping cost.

For shipments to Canada we highly recommend shipping Express. These packages will arrive at your doorstep within 3-5 days. Standard shipments are shipped via a 3rd party and typically take 10-15 days. Shipments to Canada over $120 will receive free shipping.
