These feathers have a multitude of applications including soft hackle collars, nymph tails and throats, and even claws or fins. When slicked down with some flex cement they make great hopper backs.

We are pleased to offer free shipping on all Canadians orders over $150 CAD & $100 for USA. (1-7 business days)

Since you asked...

I would not have mentioned this, but since you seem very concerned with customer feed back I'll share my thoughts.
Buying capes/saddles/deer hair on line is at best a gamble that all fly tiers face! I usually hold off on buying my capes/saddles & deer hair till I can get into a brick & mortar fly shop for that very reason. Nothing beats being able to hand pick a cape/saddle/hair in person.
With that being said, and to be quite honest, I was a "little" disappointed with the quality of the hen saddle I received. It's not that the feathers were poor, in fact they are "very good", but I was surprised to find that the hide was stitched to mend a tear.
No worry's, I've put the saddle to good use!! It is what it is.
I'm not sure how you, or other online shops can address the uneasy hesitancy tiers face in buying such materials online...?
With that out of the way, I am very happy with your brand of hooks, & will be ordering more when you restock. Thanks!

Hi Richard,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are always trying to improve and when it comes to product quality for brands that we don't manufacture ourselves we sort through everything and pull out any bad feathers. That being said, with supply shortages these days the big suppliers of feathers have had to ship more of what they receive to keep up with demand.

If you are ever unsatisfied with a product we are happy to return it free fo charge.

In the future, please give us a call when shopping for saddles and we can try and hand select one for you to suit your need.

Cheers,

Justin

Whoe Speckled Hen saddle

Will use it to tie in the style of the Killer series(Walkers, Mrs Simpson etc) although the feather are not as stillf as those used for the above. (Partridge shoulder feathers, and Church Window Feathers) Should be great paired (3 pairs in each side).
